The new 26,000-square-foot facility will nearly double the size of the existing office and provide expanded space to support critical forensic and investigative services for our community.

With property taxes, the tax rate is only part of the story.

El Paso County Commissioners Court has approved lowering the County’s property tax rate to the No New Revenue (NNR) rate. The NNR rate is designed to keep the amount of revenue collected from existing properties roughly level with the previous year.

So, does that mean everyone’s property tax bill will go down? Not necessarily. Your individual bill can still change based on your property’s taxable value, exemptions and other factors.

As conversations about the County budget and tax rate continue, we want residents to have the facts and understand what the County controls, what affects your individual bill, and where your property tax dollars go.

Today, El Paso County joins communities across our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
We honor the victims, the first responders who answered the call, and the families whose lives were forever changed.
Twenty-five years later, we remember their courage, sacrifice and resilience. We will never forget.
