Facilities will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday, September 8.

Join us for the Bear Ridge Trailhead ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 PM on Thursday, September 3, followed by a FREE evening hike! ✂️🎉

Located near the intersection of Franklin Hills Street and Bear Ridge Drive along the scenic foothills of the Franklin Mountains in West El Paso, this new trailhead is ready to welcome hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers.🌵

The improved trailhead features:
🚗 New parking lot and pedestrian walkways

🌳 Thank you to all who joined us last night for our second City Parks & Recreation Master Plan Community Meeting at the Eastside Regional Park - the Beast in District 5!

Our parks and public spaces belong to our community, and your input is an important part of making them better. During the meeting, residents had the opportunity to hear what the City has learned through the first phase of community engagement and, most importantly, continue sharing their ideas and priorities for the future of our parks.

From park improvements and new amenities to trails, recreation programs, trees and green spaces, your feedback will help guide how we plan and invest in our parks for years to come.

District 5 has been a growing community, and we need to make sure our parks continue to grow and improve with us.

A special thank you to our Parks and Recreation team and to every resident who took the time to participate, ask questions, and share their ideas. 🌳
