🎓 Scholar-Led Conferences are Wednesday, September 9. Scholars will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m., and conferences begin at 1:00 p.m. Call (915) 298-3900 to schedule your appointment.

📚 The Scholastic Book Fair ends Friday, September 11! Scholars will have opportunities to visit throughout the week.

✏️ Daily literacy homework has begun! Please check your scholar’s folder and initial their reading log after 30 minutes of daily reading.

How’s week two going?
By now, the newness is wearing off a little. Schedules are settling in. Teachers know more names. And students are starting to figure out how this year is really going to feel.
Some kids are finding their rhythm. Some are still adjusting.

At EPLA, small classes mean we notice the difference.
When a student gets quieter, starts missing days, or just seems a little off, somebody pays attention. It’s simply part of knowing our students well.

If week two has you wondering whether your student might do better somewhere smaller, more personal, and easier to be known, come see EPLA for yourself.

¿Cómo va la segunda semana?

A estas alturas, lo nuevo ya empieza a sentirse un poco más familiar. Los horarios se van acomodando. Los maestros ya conocen más nombres. Y los estudiantes empiezan a darse cuenta de cómo se va a sentir realmente este año.

Algunos ya encontraron su ritmo. Otros todavía se están adaptando.
En EPLA, los grupos pequeños nos permiten notar la diferencia.

Cuando un estudiante se pone más callado, empieza a faltar o simplemente parece estar pasando por algo, alguien se da cuenta. No es un programa especial. Es parte de conocer bien a nuestros estudiantes.

Si esta segunda semana le está haciendo pensar que su hijo podría estar mejor en una escuela más pequeña, más cercana y donde realmente lo conozcan, venga a conocer EPLA.

At our Flagship campus, some kids need a minute.
Not the front office. Not a call home. A quiet room with soft light and something to hold onto until their body settles back down.

We're building a Sensory Room there. Kids go in, take the time they need, and walk back to class. Nobody makes a thing of it.

This is the part of school that doesn't show up on a report card and changes everything about how a kid's day goes.

Week one: officially in the books. 💜

New schedules, new teachers, new faces—and plenty of August heat. We’re happy to report we kept most of that heat where it belongs: outside. 😉

Inside EPLA, our students got to focus on settling in, meeting their teachers, finding their rhythm and getting back to learning.

The only things running hot around here? The energy, the ideas, and some new friendship bonds 🏆
Thank you to our students, families, teachers and staff for a great first week.

Primera semana: oficialmente cumplida. 💜

Nuevos horarios, nuevos maestros, nuevas caras—y bastante calor de agosto. Nos da gusto decir que logramos mantener la mayor parte de ese calor donde corresponde: afuera. 😉

Adentro de EPLA, nuestros estudiantes pudieron concentrarse en adaptarse, conocer a sus maestros, encontrar su ritmo y volver al aprendizaje.¿Lo único que estuvo encendido por aquí? La energía y las ideas. 🏆

Gracias a nuestros estudiantes, familias, maestros y personal por una excelente primera semana. Una menos. Todo un año por delante.
