Weather Update: Canutillo High School Homecoming Parade

The Canutillo High School Homecoming Parade remains scheduled as planned today, Wednesday, Sept. 16, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Canutillo ISD continues to closely monitor weather conditions throughout the afternoon. Please be aware that for student and spectator safety, the presence of thunderstorms in the area may result in a last-minute cancellation of the parade.

The Community Pep Rally and Fireworks Show scheduled following the parade also remain scheduled as planned. However, rain and changing weather conditions may require adjustments or cancellation of those events.

Any changes to today’s schedule will be communicated through Canutillo ISD’s official social media channels.

WEATHER UPDATE: HOMECOMING PARADE & PEP RALLY

Canutillo ISD is monitoring the weather forecast for Wednesday, Sept. 16, and its potential impact on the Canutillo High School Homecoming Parade and Community Pep Rally.

The events remain scheduled as planned at this time. However, because the forecast calls for a strong chance of rain and possible thunderstorms, the District is closely monitoring conditions with the safety of students, participants and spectators as our top priority.

A final determination on whether the parade and pep rally will proceed will be made by 3:30 p.m. today. An update will be posted on Canutillo ISD social media as soon as that determination is made.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we monitor the weather.

Let’s hope those clouds move along!

Day 2 of HOCO dress-up days in Canutillo ISD brought us superheroes, trolls, pajamas and a throwback to the coolest summer in recent history: 2016! 😎☀️

We can’t wait to see what everyone brings to tomorrow’s parade. The HOCO fun is just getting started!

Another exciting update from one of our new campuses! 🏗️

The future Northwest Early College High School continues to make progress, with work moving across all three buildings! Best of all, the project is on schedule and moving forward!

🏫 Building A: Steel er****on is in progress and metal studs are being installed.
🧱 Building B: Building pad is completed with excavation and underground utility work in progress.
🏗️ Building C: The concrete slab is complete and ready for the next phase.

There’s plenty happening on site, and we can’t wait to watch this new campus continue to take shape.

Happy 9️⃣1️⃣5️⃣ Day!

There’s something special about being from El Paso. The mountains, the food, the culture, the people and that unmistakable Borderland spirit we carry with us wherever we go.

Today, we celebrate home. We celebrate the 915 and the pride that comes with saying, “I’m from El Paso.”

And we’re pretty darn proud that one of the places making the 915 shine is right here in Canutillo — the Best Small School District in Texas and, if you ask us, the Best District in the 915. 😉🦅
