SOLDIER SPOTLIGHT 🔥 SSG GOMEZ | 11B INFANTRYMAN

From combat to the trail now shaping the next generation 🇺🇸

I had the honor of serving alongside Staff Sergeant Gomez during our deployment to Afghanistan from 2016 to 2017. Back then he was a Team Leader in an infantry element that I was attached to down range.

We were part of an ARF team Area Recovery Force always on standby and always ready ⚡️ When that codeword came across it meant one thing move now. We would roll out of our racks load up get on birds 🚁 and go secure downed aircraft. No hesitation no excuses just action.

That time was a pivotal moment in my career as a young Specialist. Watching leaders like Gomez operate under pressure lead from the front and stay mission focused left a lasting impact on me 💯

Fast forward to today SSG Gomez is now a Drill Sergeant at Fort Jackson 🇺🇸 passing on that same intensity discipline and real world experience to the next generation of Soldiers. He is not just teaching them how to wear the uniform he is teaching them how to fight lead and win 🪖

I am proud to have served with him then and even prouder to see the legacy he is building now. The Soldiers he trains today will carry that forward into tomorrow’s fight ⚔️

Big shoutout to PFC Bianca Cereceres 🎉🇺🇸

Graduating #2 in her class as a 68Q Pharmacy Specialist 💊 down in San Antonio, Texas is no small feat.

I still remember the first day she walked into the office with her parents. There were doubts about whether we could get her the exact job she wanted in the medical field. Now look at her… she earned it and proved it 💯

From Muleshoe, Texas 🌾 to graduating at the top of her class 🎓 and now heading to South Korea 🌎✈️ she’s just getting started.

Bianca has big goals ahead, finishing her bachelor’s degree 📚 and even taking a shot at the All Army Softball Team 🥎 after playing in high school.

This is what it’s all about. Opportunity, growth, and stepping outside your comfort zone 🔥 The world is a lot bigger than just Texas and she’s about to experience it firsthand.

Proud of you, Soldier 🇺🇸 Keep going.
