Join us as we honor a true American hero, Vietnam Veteran Jose Magdaleno, as he is formally presented the Purple Heart — a recognition that is 58 years overdue. 🇺🇸💜

This special ceremony is more than an award presentation; it is an opportunity for our community to stand together and show our appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who served our nation during the Vietnam War.

El Paso County invites our community to come together and ensure that one of our own is never laid to rest alone.

We will honor the life and service of Charles Banta, A1C, U.S. Air Force at an Unaccompanied Veteran Burial Ceremony.

This veteran has no known family to stand with him—but as a community, we will not let him be forgotten. Your presence is a powerful tribute and a reminder that service to our nation is always honored.
