If you heard the tornado sirens, there was no threat. They are doing repairs on the Kappa siren and a glitch made ours sound for a brief moment. If you have any questions let us know. Thank you!

As severe weather approaches we would like to give some information about tornado warnings when the sirens have sounded.

ESDA does not give an all clear after the tornado sirens have sounded due to a tornado warning. When the sirens quit running the threat is over but that does not necessarily mean that another threat couldn't occur. It's recommended to use at least 30 minutes of caution after the sirens have stopped sounding before letting your guard down.

We don’t have any photos but it was a great day to assist the El Paso Fire Department and other agencies with their training! I’m glad we were able to do our part to make sure they were safe.
