🌳 Trees Have a Story to Tell! 🌳

It’s amazing to learn about the infrastructure behind the trees in communities and to discover just how much they provide for residents.

A tree is so much more than something beautiful to look at. From providing shade and cleaner air to creating learning opportunities and supporting our environment, trees play an incredible role in our everyday lives.

And what happens when a tree reaches the end of its life? Even then, its story doesn’t have to end. Seeing how the wood can be repurposed into something useful and meaningful is truly inspiring. ♻️🌱

A tree can provide shade, beauty, cleaner air, hands-on learning, and even opportunities to teach our students about sustainability, creativity, and responsible stewardship of our resources.

As a school board member, I believe we should continue looking for innovative ways to connect what happens on our campuses with real-world learning and opportunities for our students.

When we invest in our environment, our schools, and our students, we are investing in the future of our entire community. ❤️

The Summer Soirée was such a beautiful evening filled with great conversations and meaningful connections. I truly love spending time catching up with new friends, meeting new people, and simply enjoying the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people.

🎉 Welcome Back to School! 📚✨

What a wonderful Welcome Back Kick Off event today! It was so great seeing familiar faces and reconnecting with our amazing school community.

By far, this was one of the best Welcome Back events yet! 💚 From matcha and coffee to delicious catered food, everything was thoughtfully put together. ☕️🍵

My favorite part was seeing everyone write their goals on the wall. 📝✨ It truly made the event feel like a community coming together with shared hopes and excitement for the year ahead.

So proud of the positive energy everyone helped create. Here’s to an amazing school year filled with growth, connection, and success! It’s going to be a great year! 🎓🌟

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate 250 years of courage, resilience, and the enduring promise of freedom.

Our nation’s journey has never been easy. The liberties and democracy we enjoy today were earned through the sacrifices of countless brave men and women who answered the call to serve and protect our country. To our active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and all who continue to stand guard over our freedoms—thank you. Your dedication makes our way of life possible.

As we celebrate, we also recognize that the work of building a more perfect Union continues. Every generation has the responsibility to strengthen our democracy, expand opportunity, and ensure that liberty and justice are truly within reach for all.

America has long been a melting pot, a nation where people from every corner of the world come with hope, determination, and dreams of a better life. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and it is through our shared values, mutual respect, and commitment to one another that we continue to move forward together.

On this Independence Day, let us honor the sacrifices of those who came before us, support those who serve today, and inspire the next generation to lead with courage, compassion, and integrity.

Juneteenth marks not only the end of slavery in the United States, but also the enduring spirit of resilience, hope, and the pursuit of equality. It reminds us that progress is possible when courageous individuals stand up for justice and refuse to give up on a better future.

As we reflect on this important day, let us honor those who fought for freedom and remember that each generation has a responsibility to build a more inclusive, compassionate, and equitable society.

May we never take our freedoms for granted. May we continue to lift one another up, embrace our diversity, and work together to create opportunities for all. When we unite in purpose and respect, there is no limit to what we can achieve.

As we continue to host conscious/unconscious bias and allyship workshops, we remain committed to bringing more love, peace, understanding, and unity into our communities. So wonderful to be at the Welcome for Math Field Day 2026 along with other board member! This year, we’re excited to have 50 students participating, what an incredible milestone, and I’m hopeful we’ll see even more students join us next year.

One of the most meaningful moments today was seeing a coach proudly wearing a Math Field Day T-shirt from 2005, she was a student back then. It’s such a powerful reminder of how these experiences come full circle and continue to inspire the next generation.

Wishing every student a successful and rewarding day! And I have to say, the jokes shared this morning definitely helped lighten the mood and bring smiles all around. 😊
