The City of El Mirage is partnering with Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) and numerous regional agencies to support the annual Heat Relief Network, which operates from May 1 through September 30.

The Heat Relief Network provides life-saving resources, including shade, water, cooling centers, and donation locations. The valley-wide network serves individuals experiencing homelessness, outdoor workers, older adults, visitors, and anyone at increased risk of heat-related illness.

El Mirage community members can locate the nearest Hydration Stations, including the Fire Department, Police Department, and Customer Service Center, by visiting the interactive map at AZMag.gov/HRN.

💧Each year, the City publishes a consumer confidence report on the quality of our drinking water. This year's report has been published on our website, where consumers may also read the annual reports from previous years. The City of El Mirage operates a drinking water system that serves almost 40,000 people in El Mirage and Surprise. Monsoon season brings the potential for heavy rain, flash flooding, strong winds, and hazardous weather conditions. Acting before severe weather arrives can help reduce damage and improve safety.

To help our residents protect their property, sandbags are available through the El Mirage Fire Department. Sandbags are located at the far east end of the main parking lot, adjacent to the cul-de-sac. This area is accessible for residents picking up and filling sandbags.

💧 Water Safety Tips:
• Always keep children within arm’s reach near water
• Designate a “Water Watcher” with no distractions
• Wear and use appropriate water safety gear
• Learn CPR and emergency response basics
