EMS Week Paint Night with Fabian is always an evening full of fun, laughter, and time spent with friends and family.
This year, Fabian stepped up the challenge with an abstract painting session along with a thoughtful lesson on how the heart and mind are connected.
A huge thank you to Fabian for sharing his incredible artistic talent with us year after year. We are always impressed not only by his abilities as an artist, but also by the way he brings out the creativity in all of us

We wrapped up EMS Week 2026 with what has become one of our favorite traditions — a fish fry with giveaways made possible by the generous citizens of Butler County.
The menu was hard to beat with catfish, crappie, hushpuppies, and more sides and desserts than we could eat.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, brought fish and food, and helped make the evening possible. Most importantly, thank you to our crews and their families who came out to enjoy the food, fellowship, and festivities together.
We truly appreciate the continued support from this amazing community.

Congratulations to FTO/Paramedic Rachel Barker. You are making a difference and it shows.

🚑 For EMS Week, we’re highlighting our neighbors who serve on the front lines of emergency care.

Meet Rachel Barker, FTO/Paramedic with Butler County EMS, who is dedicated to providing care, comfort, and support during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. For Rachel, EMS is about more than medical treatment. It’s about building trust quickly, making critical decisions under pressure, and offering reassurance when patients need it most.

As part of the emergency care network supporting our Level I Trauma Center, paramedics play an important role in delivering rapid assessment, treatment, and transport for patients experiencing serious illness or injury.

One of the most meaningful parts of the role, Rachel shares, is seeing a patient’s fear begin to ease through trust and connection, while knowing they gave their full effort to every patient encounter.
