We are part of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service’s statewide network and the University of Arkansas System’s Division of Agriculture.

Private Pesticide Applicator Training will be Monday, November 9, 2026. The class will start at 10:00am. It will be at the Union County Cooperative Extension Office located at 307 American Road Suite 101 in El Dorado.
The training will cost $20 (Cash or Check only) payable at the door the day of the class. There is an additional cost not paid at the training.

Farm Pond Workshop

Do you own or manage a farm pond? Join us for an informative workshop designed to help you improve pond health and management practices.

Date: Thursday, August 27, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Union County Extension Office

Lunch will be provided.

Participants will learn practical strategies for managing farm ponds and will have the opportunity to participate in a live pond assessment at Faircrest Lake immediately following the workshop.

The workshop will be led by Scott Jones, Small Impoundment Extension Specialist/Instructor II with the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a Certified Fisheries Professional.
