Over the last week El Dorado has been the host for union firefighters across the state. We've conducted our business of advocating for workers rights and working conditions of firefighters across the state of Arkansas and beyond.

We also enjoyed all the beautiful amenities and hospitality of our downtown and other businesses across the city.

Thank you to TAS, Hills pool hall, The Mink Eye, Marilyns, Larado grill, The Well, The Haywood hotel, Hotshots, Timberlane wine and spirits, just to name a few of the businesses that entertained us and served our members this week. Your hospitality and service were top notch.

The Holidays are over, and the winter weather has left. This year for Christmas, Youngs funeral home, The El Dorado School District, and your local firefighters partnered to provide underprivileged children and families with a small bit of joy.

We blessed 6 families with Christmas Gifts, all the kids got everything they asked for on their christmas list and an entire christmas meal.

Thank you to all of our partners who facilitated this community outreach and blessings.

Way to go Little Rock this was authorized in the last legislative session and has started working its way around the state. Let's be the fourth eldorado.

At last night’s city board meeting, Little Rock became the third city in the state of Arkansas to adopt the Firefighter Bill of Rights.
It passed unanimously.
Thank you to the city board for taking this up, with special thanks going to City Director Capi Peck for leading the effort at the city level and Clarke Tucker for State Senate and Representative Andrew Collins for pushing the legislation that made this possible.
