This week, five of our student workers received the Butler Libraries and Archives Student Worker Awards (2025-2026). These awards are given at the end of the school year to recognize outstanding work done in the library throughout the year. This year we recognize Sune Vilijoen, Kristen Thomas, Brooke Rice, Ella Berntsen, and Kadence Wilson for the excellence that they have upheld. They are each a true representation of the Butler Libraries and Archives values and we couldn’t be prouder.

The students were given the following awards:
Excellence in Customer Service - Kadence Wilson
Excellence in Positivity - Ella Berntsen
Excellence in Communication- Brooke Rice
Spirit of the Library (El Dorado) - Sune Viljoen
Spirit of the Library (Andover) - Kristen Thomas

Thank you so much again for everything that you do! You have all been so incredibly essential in the success of our library and we are so grateful to have worked with each of you 💜

The extra challenge was solving who deflated our beloved library mascot Prancy. We had 5 people guess correctly. Swipe to reveal the mystery!
