🐾❤️ This is ONE of the reasons my heart is so full here at Daycation for Seniors EDH. ❤️🐾

I wanted to share some of these beautiful moments between our seniors and our sweet therapy dog, Kida.

Watching their faces light up when Kida comes over to see them is something I will never get tired of. There are smiles, laughter, gentle pats, conversations with her, and sometimes just quiet moments sitting beside her. But every one of those moments brings connection, comfort, and joy. 🥰

It is so sweet**!! Kida absolutely loves her job**! ❤️🐶 She doesn’t just give love to our seniors — she gets so much love back from them, and you can see how happy she is to be right there with them. Her little nub starts wagging, she seeks them out, and she seems to know exactly who needs a little extra love that day.

Here at Daycation, these are the moments that remind me why I wanted to create this special place. After spending years caring for my own dad, I know how meaningful it is to see someone you love happy, engaged, and surrounded by people and things that bring them joy.

Kida has become such a special part of our Daycation family. She brings love, laughter, comfort, and a whole lot of tail wags through our doors. 🐾💕

Looking through these pictures makes my heart incredibly happy. I hope they bring a little happiness to you, too. ❤️

I’m so proud to share that Daycation for Seniors EDH is now listed on the Alzheimer’s Association Community Resource Finder as a trusted community resource for families caring for someone living with dementia.

It’s an honor to be recognized as a resource for our local families, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support seniors and their caregivers in our community. 💜

There is something truly special about the bond between our seniors and Kida, our amazing therapy dog. 🐾❤️

The moment Kida walks through the door, faces light up, smiles appear, and hearts seem just a little lighter. Her gentle presence brings comfort, joy, and countless moments of connection that words can’t always describe.

And the best part? Kida absolutely loves her job! She adores giving love, soaking up the rubs, and making every participant feel special. The happiness she brings is matched only by the love she receives in return.

These moments remind us that sometimes the best therapy comes with four paws and a wagging tail. 🐶💕

Shuffleboard isn’t just fun; it helps promote balance, hand-eye coordination, focus, and social connection. Every game is an opportunity to keep minds engaged, bodies moving, and smiles shining.

It’s amazing what a little friendly competition can do! 🏆

Who knew one scrambled word could unlock 106 different words in the minds of our seniors?!? 😳😲

Today our participants took on the challenge of the word “MYSTERIOUS” and worked together to find as many words as possible. By the end, they had discovered an incredible 106 words!

Brain games like this are so much more than just fun. Activities that encourage word finding, problem-solving, and teamwork help stimulate cognitive function, support language skills, encourage social interaction, and give participants a wonderful sense of accomplishment. While these activities don’t cure dementia, they can help keep the mind engaged and provide meaningful moments of success and connection.

We’re so proud of everyone’s hard work today. Every word found was another reason to smile! 💙
