Please join us in celebrating 10-year-old Adrina, the winner of the El Cerrito Police Department’s Holiday Art Contest! 🎉

Adrina’s beautiful artwork is featured on our 2025 holiday card, and we were thrilled to welcome her to the Police Department this week for a prize presentation and a special behind-the-scenes tour. She impressed all of us with her creativity, kindness, and curiosity!

Thank you to every young artist who submitted their work—your talent made this year’s contest truly special. 💙 And a special thank you to Contra Costa County Assistant Presiding Judge Joni Hiramoto for being our contest judge and for supplying all participants with prizes.

Happy Holidays from the El Cerrito Police Department! 🎄🕊️

Please join us in welcoming our newest officers to the ECPD team! They graduated from the police this past Friday after 26 intensive weeks of training. Officers Blueford and Briones graduated from the Contra Costa County Law Enforcement Training Center and Officer Ustick graduated from the South Bay Regional Public Safety Academy. This week, they’ll be going through department orientation, and next week they’ll officially hit the streets with their Field Training Officer. We’re excited to have them on board and can’t wait for you to meet them out in the field!

Did you know that it is tradition for police departments to send each other holiday cards? This year, the ECPD wants to make our holiday cards extra special with the help of kids in our community! Instead of our annual coloring contest, we are asking for original art submissions from children ages kindergarten to 6th grade. One lucky winner will be featured on our holiday card, receive a set of the cards, a gift card, and be featured on our social media! Visit www.elcerrito.gov/holidaycard for more information!
