Medication Take Back Program!

If you have old or unused medications—whether over-the-counter or prescription—you can safely dispose of them at the El Campo Police Department. Simply drop them off in the secure metal container located in the lobby.

✔ No appointment needed
✔ No need to speak with anyone
✔ Lobby is open 24/7 for your convenience

🚫 Please note: NO vapes, aerosol products, or needles will be accepted.

Help keep our community safe by properly disposing of medications. This program will run through April 25, 2026.

The Wharton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of a Kubota tractor equipped with a front-end loader and shredder. The tractor was stolen from just outside the city limits on the north side of El Campo at the beginning of November and was possibly last seen at the El Campo Inn. The tractor may also have been seen with a dark green 4-wheeler. If you have any information related to this theft, please contact Sgt. Davis at (979) 532-1550.
