After more than 14 years of leading the fight for identity crime victims, Eva Velasquez has announced her retirement as CEO of the Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC), effective January 2027.

Since 2012, Eva has built the ITRC into the nation's most trusted resource for identity theft victims. Along the way, she expanded victim services, breach reporting, and public policy advocacy, and became a nationally recognized voice on identity crime and consumer protection.

Eva will remain at the helm through January 2027 to ensure a smooth transition, while the ITRC Board of Directors launches a national search for our next CEO. We're deeply grateful for Eva's leadership and legacy, and excited for what's next for the ITRC.
