Sometimes a partnership opens the door to an experience a student might not otherwise have.

Through a partnership with Denakkanaaga, students from Arctic Light Elementary had the opportunity to spend time with local elders - beading together, hearing stories and learning about what school and life were like for another generation.

Experiences like these help students learn about the people, cultures and stories that make up our community while building connections across generations.

There is no-school on October 8 & 9, try Nanook Kids Camp here on UAF Campus. Campers will be broken into small groups and rotate through different stations with age-appropriate games and activities. It's all about building confidence and teamwork with the UAF Women's basketball team.
