All families, of all sizes, are invited to Community Story Time on Wednesdays during the Summer Reading Program from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Eglin Community Library. Children and parents from the Eglin community are welcome to enjoy stories, singing, dancing, crafting, and all the fun of being together! Participation is FREE, and no registration is required. Story time is essential for early learners, as it introduces new words, sentence structures, and modes of communication, while also helping students engage with new perspectives and practice socialization skills.

P.S. I heard that tomorrow's story time activity MIGHT include pudding....👀

Get ready to refresh your toy chest and bookshelves at the Eglin Community Library’s first-ever Summer Fun Swap on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.! This community-driven SRP event is all about sharing resources and giving gently used items a second life.

On June 23, the real fun begins as we open the doors for you to “shop” the collection entirely for free! You don’t need to have donated an item to participate; EVERYONE is welcome to browse and take home something "new-to-them" to enjoy for the rest of the summer. Stay sustainable AND support your neighbors! Any items left over at the end of the event will be donated or used to support future library programs, ensuring that every contribution makes a positive impact. Share, swap, and help us support our community!

HEY TEENS, WE'LL SEE YA IN ABOUT AN HOUR....

Turn “trash” into a treasure at the Eglin Community Library’s Junk Journaling workshops for teens and kids! If your child loves scrapbooking, mixed media, or just needs a creative place to dump their thoughts, this is the session for them. Move past the blank page and dive into the world of “junk”, using found papers, vintage scraps, packaging, and leftover materials to construct a one-of-a-kind, handmade journal. All materials provided and no registration required. Just bring the creativity and get ready to repurpose!

Get ready to refresh your toy chest and bookshelves at the Eglin Community Library’s first-ever Summer Fun Swap on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.! This community-driven SRP event is all about sharing resources and giving gently used items a second life.

Starting June 1, the library is accepting donations of indoor and outdoor toys, puzzles, games, water and pool gear, children’s books and movies, and craft or school supplies. By clearing out what your family has outgrown, you’re helping us build a treasure trove of fun!

On June 23, the real fun begins as we open the doors for you to “shop” the collection entirely for free! You don’t need to have donated an item to participate, everyone is welcome to browse and take home something new-to-them to enjoy for the rest of the summer.
