This week, we were proud to host our annual Clean Communities Dinner to thank the many volunteers who participate in Atlantic County’s Adopt-A-Road Program.

Thanks to their hard work, 1,447 bags of litter, 894 bags of recycling, and 31 tires were removed from local roads, parks, and schoolyards in 2025. 🌎

Their efforts make a a big impact in keeping our communities clean. THANK YOU! 🙌

ACUA has partnered with New Jersey Fish & Wildlife to add shell recycling containers to our Recycling Drop-Off area! Residents can drop off oyster and clam shells to help support oyster reef restoration in the Mullica River.

Healthy oyster reefs act as a natural filtration system for the river and provide habitat for fish and shellfish species that are vital to recreational and commercial activities. By recycling shells instead of throwing them away, the community can help return them to local waterways.

The drop-off bins are located at ACUA's Environmental Park, 6700 Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township.

The ACUA recently accepted the 2026 Annual Impact Award from the New Jersey Clean Cities Coalition, highlighting its statewide leadership in clean transportation. 🚛

ACUA provides waste and recycling collection services in trucks fueled with compressed natural gas (CNG), a cleaner alternative to traditional diesel fuel. 🌎

Since making the transition from diesel in 2010, ACUA has displaced more than 11,746 tons of greenhouse gas emissions and saved more than $7.3 million in fuel costs. While diesel prices soar, ACUA pays an average of $1.92 per diesel gallon equivalent for CNG.
