Initially, I would like to express my appreciation to the public for adhering to the state of emergency warning and complying with Egg Harbor Twp. On February 22, 2026, at 3 pm, the Farmington Volunteer Fire Company #4 established a duty crew assignment at the firehouse during the Blizzard of 2026. Members were positioned to ensure a rapid response to public service calls and emergency calls. Members responded to 7 calls for service during the storm. Members encountered challenging conditions, including difficult whiteout weather, visibility issues, and hazardous road conditions. Members dealt with hazardous situations caused by the storm, such as downed power lines, arcing wire, and large trees and limbs blocking roads, causing structural damage. Members also assisted EMS with patient access and removal. Many of the township's five volunteer fire companies had members positioned to assist in their firehouses during the storm. The dedication displayed by all five volunteer companies during this historic storm is worthy of commendation and recognition. The fire companies received support from the EHT police department, EHT rescue squad, and EHT public works division. EHT STRONG.πŸ’ͺ
