I was honored to join the Atlantic City community to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11 at the Saracini-O’Neill 9/11 Memorial.

Twenty five years later, we continue to remember those we lost, honor the families who carry that loss, and recognize the first responders and service members whose courage and commitment still guide us.

It was also a privilege to recognize Atlantic City native Lt. Cmdr. Shane Fox, U.S. Navy (ret.), with the 2026 Hero Award. Thank you to everyone who came together to remember and honor this important day.

I was glad to stop by the CROPS Nonprofit Farmers Market at Fisherman’s Park Community Garden in Atlantic City and see their work up close.

C.R.O.P.S. is helping residents access fresh, locally grown food through farmers markets, community gardens, its Atlantic City Food Hub, and a Farm Share Program that offers produce on a sliding scale based on household income and size. Their markets also accept SNAP/EBT, WIC, and senior produce vouchers, making it easier for more families to bring fresh food home.

They are also investing in the future through gardening and nutrition programs, paid internships, and the UCAN Farmer Training Program, which helps Atlantic City residents build farming and business skills.

I appreciated the chance to meet the C.R.O.P.S. team and learn more about the many ways they are connecting food access, education, and local agriculture here in Atlantic City.

I was pleased to attend the Atlantic County Democrats fundraiser and connect with leaders from across Atlantic County and New Jersey.

Governor Mikie Sherrill, Zack Mullock , Assemblyman Anthony Angelozzi, our county candidates, and union representatives were also in attendance.

It was a good evening to reconnect, talk about the work ahead, and hear directly from people who know our communities and the challenges facing Atlantic County.

I enjoyed the opportunity to join my colleague on the Assembly Oversight, Reform & Federal Relations Committee, Assemblyman Cody Miller , for an excellent tour of the New Jersey American Water Delran Operating Center.

Water infrastructure is critical to the health, safety, and economic well-being of our state, especially in our district. Making sure essential utility services, including water, remain reliable and affordable for my constituents is a primary concern. Our office is always available to help connect constituents with support and resources when they are facing challenges with their utility services.

We also learned more about the long-term challenges facing our water infrastructure, from climate resiliency and aging systems to technological and cybersecurity risks. Maintaining a safe, reliable water supply requires continued investment, planning, and partnership, and I look forward to continuing that work on behalf of our communities.

I was pleased to join the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey in Burlington County as they hosted Senator Cory Booker for a conversation with local business leaders.

Senator Booker discussed his work to support South Jersey’s economic growth through investments in infrastructure, workforce development, and small businesses. These partnerships are important to creating opportunities and strengthening communities across our region.

I was pleased to join Senator Cory Booker and NJ Casino Reinvestment Development Authority for a tour of Atlantic City’s Orange Loop, followed by a conversation with local developers at Cardinal Restaurant.

Atlantic City has so much potential, and continued partnership and investment are essential to strengthening our local economy and creating new opportunities for residents and businesses.
