Public Service Announcement.

Effingham County Search Rescue k9 unit along with North Star K9, will be conducting certification in the discipline of Trailing k9s.
There will be several k9 teams in the Effingham area and downtown area ( Training ) or certifying their k9s.
So not to be alarmed if you see them in action. It is only training.
Please allow the teams work their k9s without interfering.

Last day for water recovery class, wow had some k9s with minimal time on training on water. Their handlers was outstanding in taking direction and the k9s were amazing to see.
Thank you all for allowing me to help you. I had a great time.

Water recovery class.
Day 1.
Focusing on TRF and body posturing, reward timing. It was incredibly hot outside, but not to bad on the water.
The k9s pulled it off with minor hiccups,
( nothing that we can't fix ). It was a amazing day. Ending early due to lightning, we worked through the 20 minute sprinkles.

The weekend begins with recertifications in trailing, HRD land and the first Firearm and Residual recovery certification test for k9s through NSI-K9.
Super excited to be part of this program and certification as a instructor.
Typically this test if for L.E. only.
