SUSPECT IN DEADLY ASSAULT TURNS HIMSELF IN
The suspect in the September 9, 2026 assault which led to the death of a Timmonsville man turned himself in to FCSO Investigators on September 12, 2026. Larondre Tyshawn Shaw is charged with the murder of 43-year-old Roosevelt Thomas, Jr. at the Hot Spot Convenience Store in Timmonsville, SC. Investigators allege that Shaw struck Thomas in the head causing a loss of consciousness and an extreme hemorrhage of the brain, resulting in death.
On September 9. 2026 at approximately 1:18 am, FCSO Deputies responded to the Hot Spot Convenience Store located on Smith Street in Timmonsville, SC regarding an assault call. When Deputies arrived, Thomas was found outside the front door of the store and was unresponsive. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
Shaw is being held at the Florence County Detention Center without bond.
