Historic Town Hall of Effingham NH The New England Masonic Charitable Institute in Effingham, New Hampshire was constructed in 1858.

Currently houses the Charter Oak Masonic Lodge #58 and Effingham Public Library. The building was a combination Masonic Lodge and boarding school. Now owned by the Town, it once served as Town Hall and is the Effingham Public Library.

"The installation was not only a workout of climbing four flights of stairs and two ladders to get six stories up into the tower, but also requiring an 80 foot lift to access from the outside. Added to that was below freezing temperatures and high winds, but the effort was truly worth it."
