Last week our officers and role players participated in an active shooting training multiple days. Thank you to all of the volunteers that were role players.

The training is part of our ongoing commitment to preparedness and campus safety. It allows our officers to practice critical response skills in a realistic setting, helping ensure a coordinated and effective response in the event of an emergency.

Dear Campus Community,

The SIUE Police Department will be conducting Active Shooter Training in Evergreen Hall on Thursday, May 14. You may notice an increased police presence in and around the building on these dates. Please be assured that this is only a training exercise and there is no cause for concern.

This training is part of our ongoing commitment to preparedness and campus safety. It allows our officers to practice critical response skills in a realistic setting, helping ensure a coordinated and effective response in the event of an emergency.

We encourage everyone to stay informed and proactive about safety measures. For more information on what to do if there is a reported Active Shooter/Hostile Intruder on one of the SIUE campuses, please visit SIUE Emergency Procedures.

National Police Week is a time to honor the brave men, women and K9s across our country who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, while also recognizing the dedication and service of law enforcement officers serving our communities every day.

🚨Facilities Management has a road project starting today, Monday, (5/11) to repave the southbound lanes of South University Drive. This work will continue into August hopefully finishing before move-in week.

For the duration of the work, traffic on the south side of campus will be down to a single lane in each direction from Country Club Drive to P2 Road. Both of these lanes of traffic will be on the northbound lanes.🚨

Please drive carefully.
