Hello Branch Families,
We are excited to begin welcoming all of you for our 2025/2026 school year. To prepare you for next week, we wanted to inform you of the process to obtain base sponsorship.
You will need to visit the Visitor Control Center (VCC) located at 1004 Rosamond Blvd, Edwards AFB, CA 93524. Once you arrive, you will need to check in at the front desk and will be asked to complete the 496 Form. When completed, you will need to present the following documents.
State issued Real ID
Vehicle Registration
Vehicle Insurance
The VCC personnel will verify your information and if permissions are granted, you will receive a DBIDs card. Please acknowledge the notice on the 496 form regarding Base expectations before submission.

Monday - Wednesday
0700-1600
Thursday 0700-1400
Friday 0700-1600

How many people can receive a DBIDs card for my student?
We are only able to have 2 emergency contacts approved per student/siblings. If a 3rd emergency contact is needed, please contact the school to provide further details to the site principal for review.
Can I fill out the form for another emergency contact?
No, each individual requesting access to Edwards AFB will need to complete their own form and provide documentation for the personnel to confirm their identity.
I enter the base via North Gate (the 58 Fwy. exit), can I do everything there?
No, North Gate is limited on their capabilities, and for initial sponsorship you will need to visit the VCC.
The line is long, can the schools help?
The VCC will be receiving an increased volume of visitors at this time due to the influx of parents/guardians needing sponsorship at the beginning of the school year. The schools are providing extra support at this time by providing information to families. Your continued patience with the VCC personnel and our district employees are greatly appreciated. Please ensure you arrive early and with the above mentioned documents ready to be presented, which will help tremendously in making the wait times shorter.
