The Air Force Test Center recently bid a farewell to TSgt Tracey Newton, Command Chief Executive Assistant.

TSgt Newton and family will be taking their talents to Colorado. During TSgt Newton's tenure (11 October 2019 – 22 October 2021) she demonstrated exceptional leadership and oversight of the 412th Test Wing Sustainment Services flight where she managed a $3.5 million dollar lodging modernization program. Additionally, she managed the Department of Defense’s first micro-transportation system which solved the challenge of traversing an expansive 20-square miles of main installation to reach key base facilities at no or low-cost to Airmen and garnered recognition and accolades from the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force. Sergeant Newton’s keen project management skills earned her selection as Executive Assistant to a Numbered Air Force-equivalent Command Chief where she led the Air Force Test Center’s enterprise-wide professional development seminar for the over four thousand enlisted Airmen assigned and honed their personal and professional skills. Finally, she created a ‘Test Heritage’ display at the Enlisted Heritage Hall at Gunter Annex, Alabama which preserves enlisted contributions and legacy by highlighting the Test and Evaluation mission to over 60 thousand annual museum visitors.

We are extremely proud of TSgt Newton and so excited for her new adventure but we know she will do great things at her next assignment!

The 412th Medical Groups 4th Annual Chili Cook-off took place on Friday 19 Nov 21. There were four categories with a plaque given to the MDG member with the hottest chili in memory of the Lt Col Bryan Bonzo winner of the hottest chili for the past two years.

Today we also took the time to recognize the amazing team who put the entire event together! Bravo & a job well done Lt Dawson, SSgt Martin, SrA Manning & A1C Rains!

I was 9 months into a one year remote assignment at Diego Garcia with my family thousands of miles away in Indiana. I called my wife to wish her a happy anniversary, that joy quickly turned to horror as I turned on the TV to watch the second plane strike the South tower. The world would forever be changed.

In the hours and days that followed we mourned the loss of nearly 3,000 innocent lives. Those days were filled with patriotism, determination and more importantly love for those around us. As we remember those we lost on September 11, let us also acknowledge the heroes who ran toward the danger, those who sacrificed their life to prevent further attacks and those still suffering from the physical and invisible wounds.

Let us honor them by reaffirming a commitment of love and compassion for those around us; that despite our differences, we will treat each other with respect and equality.

Meet Mrs. Bonnie McGee…

She has been essential in managing AFTC’s taskings and ensuring suspenses are met in a timely manner. Also, Mrs. McGee is continuously supporting the mission by uplifting morale across the center with various events amidst the pandemic. Thank you for all you do for the Air Force Test Center!

As we continue to recover and normalize from the pandemic we must still take precautions to protect ourselves and the ones we love.

Today marks one month since we attended the F-15EX naming and unveiling ceremony. During our time at Eglin AFB, we were able to meet some of the great Airmen of the 96th TW along with all of the wonderful things they do!

Meet TSgt Primus and SrA Vaquera...

They have been essential to continuing the mission during a shortfall of personnel experience and training qualifications. While continuing to ensure new personnel were trained, they performed multiple tasks ahead of schedule. TSgt Primus stepped up and fulfilled both the Section Chief and Expeditor roles while directly training and performing tasks with new technicians. SrA Vaquera assumed the leadership role in an aircraft Ground Vibration Test to analyze the structural limitation of the aircraft with new external hardware installed.
