It was a pleasure to return to the Islamic Center of Old Bridge today during Friday prayers to encourage congregants to vote in the November elections, no matter what political affliction or views they hold. Having your voice be heard is what matters most.

Early voting is today until 8pm, tomorrow (Saturday) 10am-8pm, Sunday 10am-6pm, no early voting on Monday. Check online for early voting locations which can be different than your normal voting location.

The last day to vote is Tuesday 6am-8pm at your normal voting location.

For months, Keyport and Union Beach residents have researched the history of the Aeromarine site, digging through newspaper archives, NJDEP records, and OPRA requests. Environmental experts, including a charter member of the EPA Superfund program, checked and supported their findings. That work is now in the hands of the EPA.

How do we get Flock out of Edison?

Come to the Edison council meeting Monday Oct 26th 6pm at 100 Municipal Boulevard and speak during public comments towards the end of the meeting. Our last meeting ended around 10pm because many people spoke up.

Edison will also be voting on an AI data center ban so it will be an eventful evening.

One meeting may not be enough to sway the council, but it’s important to let your voice be heard.

No Kings! In Highland Park today, we held signs, made noise and reminded people to vote. Unfortunately many people are disillusioned by politics. I get it. We need our politicians to be better. For now, I encourage everyone to vote. When there is high turn out, politicians know people are paying attention. But don’t stop there. Attend your council meetings. Get involved in community organizing. That is how change is made and that is how we force our elected officials to be better.

Unlike many towns across NJ that have passed data center bans, Sayreville's council continues to keep an 18-month moratorium in place. Residents deserve a permanent ban, and they have a chance to elect council members who will vote for one on November 3rd.

On September 23, the Edison council voted 6-1 to enter a $590,000 contract with Flock to install 92 additional Flock cameras as well as Flock drone, the first of its kind in New Jersey. The final total of 114 Flock cameras represents the most of any municipality in New Jersey.

Next Wednesday 6pm. Speak out against Flock at the Edison council meeting.

The Edison Township Council has approved nearly $600,000 in funds for 92 Flock cameras and a thermal Flock drone. The total number of Flock cameras will eventually be 114, representing the most of any municipality in the state, with the mayor proclaiming that every entrance and exit out of town will have a Flock camera.

Flock is a threat to our 4th amendment rights, it has led to false arrests and Flock’s databases have been accessed by federal agencies, including ICE, DHS, ATF, CBP, and other out-of-state law enforcement and government agencies.
