For the 12th consecutive year, Hackensack Meridian JFK EMS has achieved the highest recognition from the American Heart Association for its care of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), stroke, and STEMI patients. We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the American Heart Association's Mission Lifeline: EMS Gold Target Heart Attack Achievement Award.
Additionally, for the first time in HMH JFK EMS history, we have received the ACC Partners in Care Recognition for our collaboration with partner PCI-capable hospitals. This brings our total of recognitions awarded to HMH JFK EMS to seven.
These accomplishments are made possible solely through the collaborative efforts of our entire team. From the Communications Team's prompt handling of calls and the timely deployment of field units to Basic Life Support (BLS) providers recognizing the need for Advanced Life Support (ALS) and facilitating rapid transport, every role is vital. This also includes Nursing Medical Control coordinating STEMI alerts and consultations, as well as Specialty Care Transport (SCT) for standby services and transport. Our integrated approach with the emergency department and cardiac services partners is a significant achievement for the HMH JFK EMS team.
Great work!
