SHARE THIS MESSAGE from SHERIFF KENNY FREEMAN: Speeding through the school zone in Scipio is out of control. I sat there Friday and slowed down traffic from 7:30 am until 8:30 am. I could have written 50 or more tickets for speeding in a school zone. Most people slowed down once they saw my lights. However, a select few didn’t adjust their speed at all. Next week we will be out in force. Let the picture below serve as your WARNING! If the deputies write you a ticket the minimum cost to you is $139.00.

Speeding in a construction zone or school zone: Maximum of $1000

Thank you in advance for your compliance, Sheriff Kenny Freeman
