Meet Hidalgo County Young Democrats Vice President, Lizette Galaviz. Lizette graduated from UTRGV with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies, and she is currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration. She has experience in government relations, legislative affairs, and community outreach through her work with UTRGV, the Texas Legislature, and nonprofit organizations across the Rio Grande Valley. Lizette is passionate about public service, advocacy, and helping create opportunities for young people in her community. She hopes to attend law school and continue working in government and policy in the future.

Outside of work and school, Lizette enjoys attending community events, traveling, creating social media content, and spending time with family and friends. She loves live music, politics, coffee runs, and learning more about leadership and civic engagement.💙⭐️
