Thirty-eight years ago, Arnoldo Garza Jr. was kidnapped and murdered. His daughter, Lina Garza, was just a little girl when her world changed forever.

🕊️ In Loving Memory of Grandma Minder Kaur 🕊️ Today we remember and honor Grandma Minder Kaur, a beloved grandmother whose life was tragically taken far too soon. At 73 years old, she represented the strength, wisdom, love, and traditions that help hold families together. Her loss is deeply felt by those who knew and loved her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and community.

As we reflect on this heartbreaking tragedy, we also remember the lives of her daughter, Kamlesh Rani, and her son-in-law, Sweeta Ram. Three lives were lost, leaving behind a family forever changed.

While the circumstances surrounding their deaths have shocked our community, today we focus on remembering Grandma Minder Kaur for the life she lived, the love she shared, and the legacy she leaves behind.

💔 A 2-month-old baby was found with bruises and signs of decomposition. A tragedy no child should ever endure. A 30-year sentence has now been imposed in this case. Do you believe a 30-year sentence reflects the gravity of this case? While the court process has reached a conclusion, the loss of a child’s life leaves questions that many people continue to wrestle with. Every child deserves safety, protection, and the opportunity to grow up surrounded by love and care. And perhaps the hardest question of all: Can you imagine if this were your child?
What more can our community do to identify abuse, support families in crisis, and protect vulnerable children before tragedy occurs?

💜 TONIGHT, THE CASES STAYED OUTSIDE THE DOOR.
Tonight at Luby’s in Pharr, families connected through the lives of Jolissa, Roger, Kevin, Freddy, Julio, Meme, Esteban, and Humberto gathered around one table.
There were stories shared, laughter heard, memories remembered, and friendships strengthened.
While each family’s journey is different, tonight reminded us that we are more than the tragedies that brought us together. We are parents, siblings, spouses, grandparents, relatives, and friends who continue moving forward while carrying the memory of those we love.

For a few hours, it wasn’t about court dates, investigations, or case updates.

It was about family.

It was about connection.

It was about the lifelong friendships that grow when people truly understand one another.

Sometimes healing begins with something as simple as sharing a meal together.
