Today, our Edinburg PD officers proudly showed up to support John Ryan Olivarez at his graduation from PSJA North HS.
Ryan is the son of Detective John Olivarez, who passed away last year after a courageous battle with cancer. We made a promise to always be there for his family, and today was one more opportunity to keep that promise.
Congrats, Ryan. We know your dad would be incredibly proud! 💙🚔

🚔🎉 As we gear up for National Night Out, Edinburg PD hosted its first Neighborhood Watch Block Party on the 2400 block of Wildflower Dr. in Edinburg! 🏡👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
It was a great evening of community, conversation, and connection. 🤝💙 We love meeting our neighbors, building relationships, and working together to keep our neighborhoods safe and strong. 🚓✨

💙 The Edinburg Police Department joined fellow first responder agencies at the Diocese of Brownsville’s Annual Blue Mass, held at the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan.
Each year, the Basilica hosts the Blue Mass to offer prayers for all first responders, recognizing the selfless sacrifices they make in the line of duty. 💙🚔🙏

We have received reports of a small number of scam calls from individuals spoofing the Edinburg Police Department phone line, (956) 289-7700, and asking for personal or bank information. Phone spoofing means scammers can make it appear as though they are calling from a trusted number.
This is a SCAM. The Edinburg Police Department will NEVER ask for personal or banking information over the phone.
Please stay alert and do not fall prey to these scammers. 🚨
