Last fall, our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Integrated Early Warning (then Joint Project Lead for CBRN Integration) team hosted an Integrated Layered Defense Capstone event in which Soldiers tested multiple CBRN capabilities together using a holistic approach. The capstone demonstrated successful interoperability of the tested systems, produced feedback for enhanced operational readiness and mission success, and generated data that will support decision-making and informed development of future concepts. Learn more about how this event is setting the stage for continued integrated layered capability testing.👇

Our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Integrated Early Warning recently achieved Full Rate Production on the Joint Biological Tactical Detection System (JBTDS).👏 The JBTDS is a portable capability that gives warfighters the ability to detect, collect, and identify Biological Warfare Agent aerosols quickly and accurately. With this capability, warfighters have more time to make decisions and reduce the risk of exposure. This is an important step toward getting the very best technology into warfighters' hands. See photos of the JBTDS below.

Our Joint Project Manager (JPM) for CBRN Integrated Early Warning (IEW) and JPM for CBRN Special Operations Forces (SOF) showed off their Formation-Based Layered Protection capabilities during the 2026 Maneuver Support Center of Excellence’s Protection Week. This annual event featured current and emerging technology in sensors, automation, and decision support that enable operational readiness and lethality. Our JPM CBRN IEW and JPM CBRN SOF teams discussed wearables, sensors, decontamination equipment, and more with U.S. Army senior leaders and users from the Army engineering, military police, and chemical corps communities. Check out photos from the event below.

Earlier this month, we welcomed leaders from the German Bundeswehr CBRN Defence Command to discuss the future of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense (CBRND) cooperation. This new era of partnership will help us share lessons learned and improve the speed and focus of multinational CBRND capability delivery and standardization. We look forward to future engagements and strengthening our alliance through collaborative efforts.

Earlier this year, our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Sensors provided lightweight, body-worn sensors to a 4th Infantry Division testing event at Fort Carson. The sensors leverage technology from our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Special Operations Forces’ Wearable All-hazard Remote-monitoring Program (WARP), which monitors vital signs, physical exertion, and environmental conditions (including CBRN exposure) in real time. Find out how the testing went and how these sensors can help medics make informed decisions in the field.👇

Last month, our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Integrated Early Warning's Proximate Chemical Agent Detector (PCAD) successfully achieved Milestone C and received formal approval to enter Full Rate Production. PCAD is a handheld capability that identifies chemical threats at a standoff distance. This decision is one step closer to getting the PCAD into warfighters' hands. Check out photos of the PCAD below.
