Rock County has declared an emergency following severe storms, an EF1 tornado, and continued flooding concerns. Many communities remain significantly impacted, with the Rock River expected to crest starting Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

The Rock County Emergency Operations Center is actively coordinating with the National Guard for additional manpower and sandbag resources. However, volunteers are still urgently needed to help protect homes, roads, and critical infrastructure.

River Crest Information
For the latest projections and timeline on the Rock River’s expected crest, visit the National Weather Services updated gauge page: water.noaa.gov/gauges.

How Can You Help?
Volunteer! Please come prepared: dress for the weather, wear sturdy boots, bring work gloves and your own shovel (and a spare if you have it!). Sign up at co.rock.wi.us.

Call 211 to report damage from the storm. Residents whose structures were damaged are asked to call to report damage to their homes, mobile homes, apartments, or businesses. This helps local agencies identify impacted areas and plan assessments.

The Rock County website (www.co.rock.wi.us) is updated with flooding resources including an updated map, recovery updates, and volunteer information. Local municipalities remain the most targeted resource for more information.

Good morning! We are currently looking for volunteers today (time will be confirmed later this morning) to assist within the Town of Fulton.
The Wisconsin National Guard will be on-site to help move sandbags and build protective barriers at residences in preparation for additional flooding expected this week—but we need more local help.
If you are willing and able to assist, please reach out to me by text: 608-314-5266.
If you are a resident in need of assistance with sandbags or flood preparation, please reach out as well. We want to make sure everyone who needs help is supported.
Please share this post to help spread the word.
Thank you!

Reposted from Edgerton Police Department

Good Morning,

Last night, 04-10-2026, or early this morning, a vehicle and boat were struck on W. Fulton St in the 400 block. The striking vehicle left the scene. Parts found on scene show that it was a 2019 or newer Volkswagen, and we are currently reviewing several cameras in the area for further information.

To help speed this up, we’re asking the community to help us by reporting any information they may know. The vehicle will have front damage to the to the hood and grill area. Along with internal damage.

Information can be reported to the Rock County Non-Emergency Number 608-757-2244. We appreciate your help, and time in this matter.

With spring right around the corner, it's time to start thinking about the Edgerton Summer Events.

The Edgerton Police Department will again be hosting National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Racetrack Park, 1000 Stoughton Rd., Edgerton, WI. from 5pm-8pm.

National Night Out has become an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, making our neighborhoods safer and a more caring place to live and work.

I have recently sent out an invitation to our community partners and have received an overwhelming response. The way it looks now, we should have another fantastic time.

So mark your calendars for the first Tuesday in August (August 4th) from 5pm to 8pm at Racetrack Park.

Hope to see you there.
