In the last 5 minutes, we have received
multiple reports of heavy smoke throughout the area. Nobody has been able to pinpoint the source of the smoke but we think it might be from a 1500 acre controlled burn in Washington County.

We have looked at the NASA Fire Map and that’s the only large fire that satellites have been able to detect.

Active fires currently! We strongly recommend no burning.the humidity is sitting at 25%. These are very dangerous conditions.

Remember this ban ordinance is only for red flag conditions that make it unsafe to burn.
This ordinance will be read for the 2nd time and voted on at the next meeting on April 6th 2026.
