🚫🔥 STATEWIDE BURN BAN REMINDER – EDENTON RESIDENTS 🔥🚫

The North Carolina Forest Service has issued a Statewide Burn Ban due to increased fire danger across the state. This ban prohibits all open burning until further notice.

This includes:
• Campfires
• Burning leaves or yard debris
• Fire pits
• Any other outdoor open flames

Dry conditions and wind can cause fires to spread quickly. Please help us protect our community, homes, and first responders by following the burn ban.
Edenton Fire Department will continue working with our partners to keep our community safe.

Congratulations to five of our members who have officially earned their EMT certification through NCOEMS, strengthening our ability to serve the citizens of Chowan County!
These guys put in 4 months of hard work, countless hours of classroom instruction, hands-on skills, field training, and testing to get the job done—and it paid off!

If you’ve been meaning to donate, now’s the time! We’re still collecting new and gently used hats, coats, and gloves for boys and girls in children’s sizes — helping keep local kids warm all winter long. 💙
