The City of Eden Fire Department is joining fire departments across North Carolina in a statewide smoke alarm canvassing event hosted by the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal (NC OSFM). During this event, we will provide and install FREE smoke alarms for residents as part of our ongoing commitment to making our community safer, one home at a time.

Today kicks off National Motorcycle Safety Month. Do you ride? Do you know a rider? If so, share this on your page to help bring awareness to yourself and/or others when you're on the road.

Drivers often don’t register motorcycles.

Key Safety Points:
-Motorcycles are smaller and easier to miss
-Always look twice at intersections
-Check mirrors AND blind spots before changing lanes
-Most crashes happen when a car turns left in front of a motorcycle

If you didn’t see them, that doesn’t mean they weren’t there.

Thank you to Leaksville-Spray Elementary School for allowing B-Shift to come for a visit on their Career Day! We enjoyed our time there educating the students, not only about our career, but also a little bit of fire safety in each group! Can't wait to see you all this Fall for Fire Prevention Week!
