Last night's Eden City Council meeting also included some very special recognitions as Rockingham County Fire Marshal Melissa Joyce and Deputy Fire Marshal Jeremy Shelton were on hand to deliver Live Saving Awards to some deserving local heroes:

🎖️ City of Eden Fire Department 's Alicia Scovell & Paul Gallo received awards along with the Eden Rescue Squad's Kyrstin Dixon for aiding in the delivery of a baby
🎖️ Also from Eden Fire, Chief Chris White and Capt. Jon Worley were recognized along with Paul Gallo for successfully reviving a patient with CPR
🎖️ Chief White and Eden Fire Marshal Kevin Dunn received awards for rescuing a resident and pet from a burning home

Eden City Council will hold their regular monthly meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. Attend in person at Eden City Hall or watch as it streams online from our friends at Rockingham Update.

Items on this month's agenda include Life Saving Awards presented to members of the City of Eden Fire Department , a public hearing to extend the days and hours of the Leaksville Social District, and a presentation by NCDOT for the Comprehensive Transportation Plan.
