What's Happening At Your Library
June is going to be a busy month at the library. We start out with a presentation for the kids and ends with fun (as in fundraiser) activities during Valley Daze.
On June 23rd from 10:30 – 11:00 the library presents world class juggler, Kayla James. The Tossing Tales presentation takes place in the Community Center and will be followed by a book drawing featuring the books Kayla will be juggling. You won’t want to miss the fun.
Books and Puzzles! The library has a surplus and will offer them at the Valley Daze Fundraiser which starts on Friday, June 26th from 1:00 to 5:00, and Saturday, June 27th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EVAL volunteers often hear “This is such a nice library, especially for a small town,” or “How do you pay for all the books and equipment?” The answer to those questions is because of our fundraisers and generous donors. EVAL is local and operates with an all-volunteer staff. All we ask for is a freewill donation.
Don’t forget to stop in at the Bake Sale to get fresh biscotti, breads, cookies, and bars along with scones. Why not pick up a cup of fresh coffee along with a treat? If you’re interested in donating baked goods, drop them off on Friday afternoon or early Saturday morning. The sale is in the Community Center on Saturday, June 27 from 8:00 a.m. until 2-3:00 p.m.
Mark your calendars for another big event. On July 7th at 10:30 – 11:00 in the Community Center it’s the return of Jerry Frasier with his Comic Magic Energy presentation. We enjoyed seeing Jerry last year and know he’s going to be putting on another great show. There will be another book drawing at the end of the show. This one will feature magic books. Be ready for those budding magicians at your house.
