Rachel Neu estimates a total of $960 has been raised in cash, checks, and calculator donations so far. The graphic calculators are used in grades 8-12, while the scientific calculators are used in seventh grade.
Gratitude to the concerned community members of Eden Valley for helping students and teachers of EV-W school. Special thank you to Donna Wacker, a Eden Valley Area Library patron who submitted a Thrivent Team Action Plan to Thrivent to coordinate a joint fundraiser with the Eden Valley Area Library, Eden Valley-Valley-Watkins Schools and the community at large to obtain graphing and scientific calculators (including financial donations to purchase the items, communitt members donating used or new calculators). Donna received a Community Impact Card (pre-paid Visa card) that was used to purchase 2 scientific and 2 graphing calculators. School personnel will distribute the calculators as needed.
