Friends of the Eddyville Public Library Friends of the Eddyville Public Library is a non-profit organization founded to help further the goals and objectives of the Eddyville Public Library.

The Primary Goals of the Friends Are:
*Stimulate community awareness of the library.
*Advocate for the library.
*Sponsor community events and activities.
*To support special fundraising programs.
*To encourage gifts, endowments, and memorials.
*Promote volunteer activities.
*Provide support to the library's annual Children's Summer Reading Program.
*To purchase items and materials that cannot be bought from the library's general budget.

Its time for the Friends of the Eddyville Library 2021 Membership Drive. Join us! We are volunteers who treasure our library and see the amazing impact it has in our community. Please take time to view and read our brochure in the photos. The membership drive is now through April 19, 2021. You can stop by the library to join or call us with questions at 641-969-4815.
We are also having a membership drawing for new and existing members! Three entries will be drawn as winners of a $25.00 Fareway gift card. The drawing for the gift cards will held on Monday, April 19th at 5:30 pm.

Friends Membership
A membership to Friends of the Eddyville Public Library is open to any person, family, or business/corporation who wishes to support the goals of the group. Membership (Individual & Family) can be established through the payment of annual dues, due in April of each year. Stop in at the library at any time to fill out a membership form.

The cost of membership varies by category, as follows:

Individual $5 (annual)
Family $10 (annual)
Lifetime $100 (one time fee)
Please note that all gifts, dues, and donations are considered as charitable contributions for tax purposes.
Friends members receive the Friends newsletter, e-mail notification of upcoming library programming, and get extended check-out periods on books (3 weeks) & movies (2 weeks).
In addition, Lifetime Friends members receive a "Friends Lifetime Member" bookplate and their names are placed on the "Friends Lifetime Member" plaque displayed at the library.
