We are pleased to announce the arrival of Engine 321. This apparatus is a New E-One Typhoon pumper equipped with a 1,000-gallon water tank, a 1,500 GPM pump, with a foam system. The truck was approved more than four years ago, and we have all been patiently waiting for its arrival.
This new apparatus replaces the old 321, which has served the department for more than 30 years. Today, we held a small ceremonial first push into the station and took some "old versus new" photos to mark the occasion.
A huge thank you goes out to our Town Manager, Selectboard, and the residents of Eddington for their continued support. Their commitment to the department made this project possible.
The truck will be placed into service after several final steps are completed. Over the next few weeks, crews will be training on the apparatus and mounting equipment and tools. Once that work is complete, Engine 321 will officially become our first-out engine.
