The Annual American Legion County Fair begins on Sunday, September 6th and continues through Saturday September 12th.

The Ebensburg Borough Police remind visitors that the following NO PARKING restrictions will be in place beginning September 6th:

East side of N. Julian St. from W. Highland Ave. to the Beech St. Intersection
Both sides of N. Julian St. from N. Center St. to Randolph St.
East side of N. Spruce St. from W. Highland Ave. to Randolph St.
Both sides of N. Spruce St. from Randolph St. to the fairground field parking lot

Note:
The listed parking restrictions will be in place September 6th through September 12th.
Signage will be posted earlier, but the restrictions will not be in place until the listed times.
Be prepared for traffic congestion in the area of N. Center St. and W. Highland Ave.

The Ebensburg Borough Police wish to remind everyone that the Borough will be hosting its annual Downtown Shutdown event this Friday, July 24th, from 6 PM to 11 PM.

Please be advised that the following street closures and parking restrictions will be in place beginning at 4pm Friday through Midnight:

100 East Sample St. – No through traffic and no parking
100-200 blocks West Sample St. – No through traffic and no parking
100 North Julian St. - No through traffic and no parking
100-600 blocks North Center St.- No through traffic and no parking
100 block South Center St. – No through traffic and no parking
200 block South Center St. – Handicap parking
100 block East Lloyd St. – No parking
100-400 blocks W. High St. – No through traffic and no parking
100-200 blocks E. High St. - No through traffic and no parking
S. Marian St. from W. High St. to Lloyd St. No parking
N. Marian St. from W. High St. to W. Highland Ave. No parking
W. Highland Ave. from N. Marian St. to N. Center St. No parking
E. Highland Ave. from N. Center St. to N. Caroline St. No parking

The Ebensburg Borough Police Department would like to remind residents that door-to-door solicitors are permitted in the borough if they follow the requirements of an ordinance addressing solicitors, primarily, they MUST report to police station and provide photo ID of all involved solicitors.

Whether the solicitation occurs in person, or is received by phone, mail, email, or text message – officers recommend that residents properly verify the legitimacy of any solicitation before providing any personal and/or bank account or credit card information. If you are unsure, please contact the borough police at 814-472-8930 to ensure that door-to-door solicitors have been vetted and are legitimate.

Some important clues to be aware of:

If solicitors try to pressure you to hurriedly wire money, these are scams! Wiring money is like sending cash, you cannot get the money back

How can I tell what is a good reason to wire money?
If someone you do not know asks you to wire money, don’t do it.
That is a scam.
Scammers are clever.
They try to make things look real.

If a story sounds too good to be true…IT IS!

Scammers also want to rush you.
They want your money before you have time to think.
Before you do anything, stop and check, slow down and verify before sending or wiring money, or providing financial information!

The Ebensburg Borough Police wish to remind everyone that the Borough will be hosting its annual Wheels and Wings event this Thursday, June 25th, from 5 PM to 10 PM.

Please be advised that the following street closures and parking restrictions will be in place as stated below:

100-200 North Cherry – No through traffic and no parking after noon
300 North Cherry – No through traffic
100-200 East Sample – No through traffic and no parking after noon
100-200 West Sample – No through traffic after noon/no parking beginning at midnight Wednesday
100 West Crawford - No through traffic after noon and no parking after 3 pm - Show car parking only
200 West Crawford - No through traffic after noon, resident parking permitted on one side (will close till Penn Eben Lot is full of show cars then allow traffic)
100 Union Street - No through traffic and no parking
100-200 North Locust - No through traffic and no parking after 3 pm
100 North Julian - No through traffic after noon and no parking beginning midnight Wednesday
200 North Julian – No through traffic after noon, resident parking permitted on one side (no parking west side)
100 North Center - No through traffic and motorcycle parking only after noon
200-600 North Center – No through traffic and no parking after 3pm
100 South Center – Motorcycle Parking Only after 3 pm
100-200 W. High – Motorcycle Parking Only after 3 pm
Penn Eben Parking Lot – NO PARKING ALL DAY beginning midnight Wednesday

The Ebensburg Borough Police Department wishes to advise the public of the emergence locally of an imposter scam.

An individual utilizing the name “Zayden Biden” is emailing vendors, claiming that they are coordinating the sales of booths and booth placement for Ebensburg’s upcoming PotatoFest event in September 2026.

This is a common imposter scams; a dishonest person sends an authentic looking message and tricks you into sending money to them.

Officers recommend that residents properly verify the legitimacy of any monetary solicitation – whether received by phone, mail, email, social media, or text message – before providing any personal and/or bank account or credit card information.

When in doubt, contact Danea Koss and Ebensburg Borough to verify the legitimacy of monetary solicitations. Always report the scam to your local police department
