Happy World Bicycle Day! 🚲🌿

Spending time outdoors and staying active can have a powerful impact on our mental health. Whether it’s a bike ride through the neighborhood, along a local trail, or with family and friends, getting outside can help reduce stress, boost mood, and improve overall well-being.

Today is a great reminder to slow down, enjoy the fresh air, and take care of both your physical and mental health — one ride at a time. 💚

June is PTSD Awareness Month — a time to recognize that trauma can affect anyone, and healing is possible. 💚

PTSD is more than memories of a difficult experience. It can impact sleep, relationships, concentration, emotions, and daily life. Recent discussions and awareness events have highlighted how important it is to reduce stigma, listen with compassion, and remind people they are not alone. Evidence-based treatments and support systems can make a real difference.

If you or someone you know may be struggling after a traumatic experience, reaching out for support is a sign of strength. Help is available through mental health professionals, local resources, and the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Together, we can create a community where people feel safe asking for help, sharing their stories, and healing. 💚

As Mental Health Month comes to a close, it’s important to remember that mental health matters every day of the year. 💚

A few things to keep in mind:
• It’s okay to ask for help.
• Small steps toward self-care still count.
• Checking in with friends, family, and neighbors can make a difference.
• Healing and growth take time.
• No one has to face challenges alone.

Let’s continue building a community where support, kindness, and understanding are part of everyday life. If you or someone you know needs help, support is available through Eau Claire County DHS, Northwest Connections, and by calling or texting 988.

May is Mental Health Month — a reminder that taking care of our mental health is just as important as caring for our physical health. 💚

Small moments of connection, rest, kindness, and support can make a big difference. Whether you’re reaching out for help, supporting someone you care about, or simply taking time to recharge, every step matters.

At Eau Claire County DHS, we encourage our community to check in with one another and remember: you are never alone. If you or someone you know needs support, resources are available through DHS, Northwest Connections, and by calling or texting 988.

Together, we can help build a healthier, stronger community.
