Your backyard chickens may be cute, fluffy, and emotionally supportive. But they are not meant to be:
• Lap dogs
• Neck pillows
• Toddler toys
• Emotional support nuggets
• Kissable roommates

They can carry Salmonella even when they look healthy and clean. So, enjoy your flock, collect those eggs, and then wash your hands.

You can’t see or smell radon, but it’s found in homes of all kinds (1 in 10 homes in Wisconsin has high radon levels). Doing a home test is the only way to know if you and your family are being exposed to high levels of radon. Radon tests are inexpensive, accurate, easy to do yourself, and can be purchased at the Health Department or at your local hardware store. Don’t let radon hide in your home – do a test!
