Utilizing a working knowledge of light automotive, heavy construction, and mechanized equipment, this position operates equipment and performs a variety of labor-intensive manual work pertaining to the maintenance of roads, bridges, and their appurtenances.

DELAYED - because of the weather, the project on Water Street has been delayed and the street reopened to traffic. The project will resume on Monday June 22, 2026. When the project resumes on Monday, Motorists will be detoured around the block via 5th Avenue, Chippewa Street, and 6th Avenue.

An amazing addition to our beautiful city!
"Big art news for Eau Claire! 🎨✨ We are so excited to team up to announce a brand-new mural coming to town this summer!
Local artist Jenna Wood (Wood Creative LLC) has been selected as part of the Milwaukee Brewers' Wisco Pop-Up Series! This awesome statewide initiative is bringing murals and community experiences to cities across Wisconsin, and we’re partnering up to bring you along for the entire creative ride.
Jenna’s piece is going to capture the exact creativity and spirit that make Eau Claire so special. While Jenna gets to work on the wall, Visit Eau Claire, WI will be capturing the behind-the-scenes journey. The official reveal is happening during the Eaux Claires Music Festival weekend, July 24–25.
It takes a village to bring a project like this to life, and we are so grateful for the support of The Pickle, Downtown Eau Claire, the City of Eau Claire - Government, Eaux Claires, and the Milwaukee Brewers for making this happen in our community. đź’™ "
