South Pierce County Historical Society The South Pierce County Historical Society is a Washington State non-profit corporation, working to preserve and promote local history.

SPCHS is a proud organizational member of the Heritage League of Pierce County, and the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation. Our Tofu House Project received a Heritage Capital Project grant from the State of Washington, administered by the Washington State Historical Society. Other grants have been received from the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, Ben B. Cheney Foundation, and Korum for Kids Foundation.
