So, What’s the deal with this hired attorney, Heidi maynard?

The district and school board hired attorney Heidi Maynard to help lead their bargaining team. We know her strategy in bargaining is to laugh when our team shares the struggles our kids face when they try to learn in classrooms in overload. We obtained a copy of her contract with the district through an official information request.

- Her hourly rate is: $300 per hour
- Her hourly rate for driving to bargaining: $200 an hour (and .38 cents/mile between Tacoma and Eatonville – 74 miles round trip)

Math Time! Just the time at the table in August and September (48.5 hours) and driving……+ $12,000 paid for just two bargaining sessions between June and July = 41K.

Eatonville teachers want to be in class with their students.

However, the Eatonville School District decline offers to speak about issues Eatonville teachers want addressed - such as class size and staffing.

The district has ample resources to address the critical issues facing Eatonville schools. So, why are they refusing to meet student needs?
