City Park Playset Maintenance Notice

Tomorrow morning Tues Sept 8, crews will swap the slide on the new playset at City Park with the slide originally intended for the set.

🚧 Construction Has Begun at Eaton Commons Park! 🚧

Residents may have already noticed activity at Eaton Commons Park, and it's official: the Town of Eaton is moving forward with long-planned improvements first identified in the 2024 Parks Master Plan.

What's coming to the park:
• ADA-accessible walking paths
• Pedestrian access improvements
• A basketball court
• New fitness and play equipment with safety surfacing
• Park benches
• Dog waste stations
• A portable restroom enclosure
• New trees

The project is funded in part by the Town's settlement with Xcel Energy and is expected to take about four months to complete, weather dependent.

This project has been a long time coming. After bids came in over budget in 2025, Town staff regrouped, sought additional funding, refined the scope, and rebid the work. That persistence paid off, and Eaton Commons Park is finally getting the upgrades our community has been waiting for.
